2005 Thailand

From December 27, 2005 - January 25, 2006 we’ve visited Thailand again to catch up on last year’s missing  holiday we had to shift due to destructive Tsunami’s impact to Khao Lak. Plenty of evidence was still available to give us an approximate idea about what happened 1 year ago. Many buildings were still damaged  because of difficulties to clearify ownership, some owners lost all of their capital. Thus confirmed our decision not only to cancel this trip to get a refund of our payments but also to give a small support to  local tourist agency and dive operator. The dive trip started with a quick transfer from Khao Lak to the live aboard ship nearby Similan Islands where we had great opportunities to record some good footage. After 1  week aboard the “Angel One” we travelled to our next destination Koh Lanta, an island 70 km South of Krabi. Koh Lanta was quite untouched from tourism. We decided to have some 1-day trips to local dive  sites in front the small island of Koh Ha with its excellent visibility of 30 m.
